A Weekend in Puzzleburg

Very Stardew Valley, but that's all I can say. The demo wasn't long enough to really show you anything about the game. Looks cute, but definitely nothing that makes me think it is a priority to buy.
Score: */10 (Not enough game play to actually score).

Blue June

Creepy but not scary puzzler. Demo is very brief so I can't really tell if the puzzles will increase in difficulty as the game moves on. Art is fantastic. No jump scares, per say, but definitely a few moments that will catch you off guard. A couple of mechanics that I don't love, but nothing that can't be worked around with minimal effort. Definitely adding this one to my wishlist and hoping the puzzles increase in difficulty through the gameplay. Cute but creepy with a clear mental health piece to the game.
Score: 7/10 (If the puzzles do indeed increase in difficulty, 8.5/10)

One Day More

Very cute platform puzzler. Jumps are forgiving, and it seemed like the puzzles upped the difficulty slightly in each section, so I imagine that would continue. Art style is very cool. Controller and kbm support. Captions are part of the games design. Definitely aimed at a slightly younger audience (main character is finishing high school and looking at college) but I think us old farts would have fun with it just as much.

Pets Hotel

It's a cute game, but it definitely needs some work. Items that the player has no control over like when the pet decides to eat and drink are weighted too heavily in their happiness. But items ordered appear in inventory immediately. Effectively, it's if the Sims Pet expansion pack was made into it's own game, but contained entirely within a pet boarding business. Could be a winner with some work.

One Drunken Knight

This one is definitely juvenile, but it has appeal. Platforming while drunk. Kill enemies. Drink heavily. I wouldn't pay much for it, but I can see the fun in it. The screen is wavy the whole time, so if you get motion sick from that, this is not going to be the game for you.

Bigger Than Me

This one is definitely a winner in the point and click category. A bit P&C, a bit visual novel. Has a bit of a "Night in the Woods" feel to it. Didn't particularly enjoy the mini-game, but it seems like that specific game won't repeat? Definitely worth a play through.

Lonesome Village

Feels very Breath of the Wild, but sadly...this game is really disappointing. The art is cute as hell. But the game itself is stop-start, even for a tutorial area. Some of the visual cuts don't make sense...you've just rescued a villager from the tower, visually it takes you back to his house to explain the concept of opening the door that is immediately to your right, and then visually drops you back into the tower. Transitions with your helper take ages and you can't move until they're done. There's too much time between scene openings and actual action, so I questioned several times if the game had frozen. Only some items you can interact with have visual cues...it just wasn't thought through very well. I hope they make improvements, because this game could be really fun, but so far it's executed badly.

Havendock

Raft, but stationary. And without sharks. You start on a single platform dock, have to collect resources as they float by, research new items, build, and then settlers start showing up. Seems really fun, although some of the controls are janky, like middle mouse click to move the camera. Why? But super fun and I played the demo for a while.

The following image is part of the character creation for Havendock. The body types are labeled as Female and Male, but the pronouns have several options and that was super nice to see. Appreciate the Devs taking the extra few minutes to make this game more inclusive.

Very cute, Stardew-like, except you're a red panda(?) former Samurai. You can play for 4 days, which is just enough to somewhat get the feel of the game. Art is SO fucking cute. Instead of cut scenes, there are interludes with watercolor art to explain the story. Definitely would pay a decent amount for this game.

Hotel Renovator

House Flipper but in a hotel where you can continually go back and change the rooms & make money on the nightly rentals. Very cute. If you like chill House Flipper style games, this will be for you. Loses points on some logic decisions. Storage is a category with standing dressers & wardrobes, but things like drawers are in their own category. Buying a chest of drawers doesn't fulfill the "buy storage" requirement for a room. That doesn't make sense to me. Otherwise, very chill game that I like very much.
